Edward Enfield (Patron) writes: For children to come from Bethlehem to Bath is certainly difficult and possibly dangerous, but living under Israeli occupation is both difficult and dangerous anyway, so they come. Well, if they are prepared to do it, I am more than glad to support them, as I have nothing but sympathy for the hardship of their lives and nothing but admiration for their glorious dancing.
Reva Klein (Patron) writes: As someone concerned with children's education, mental health and welfare, I am proud to be affiliated with Bethlehem Link. It's so easy to forget the human dimension - and particularly the day to day realities of children's lives - in the midst of the uncertain and troubling events in Palestine. When we think of Palestinian children, if we think of them at all, it tends to be one-dimensionally, in terms of the conflict. But life goes on in spite of the hardships and the chaos. And it's thanks to the vision of the small band of committed individuals that comprise Bethlehem Link that some of the harshness of the ongoing situation has been mitigated by enlightened programmes that uphold children's rights to dignified, creative, fulfilling and fun experiences.
